The Guernsey Le Chêne Hotel is a popular family run hotel in the Channel Islands for those choosing a holiday to unwind and re-charge those batteries, and is also an ideal retreat for walkers and nature lovers alike. The hotel is also very popular with business visitors due to it's service, business facilities and convenient location. We are a family run business and actually feel quite humble seeing so many visitors returning year on year and having the same great team since we started here 8 years ago. It is a credit to our team that we have won the Zoover Award for best hotel in it's category for 2 years running (2011 and 2010). Zoover is Europe's largest hotel review website. 

Situated
Perfectly situated in the parish of Forest, Le Chêne Guernsey Hotel makes an excellent choice for Guernsey holidays or short breaks to relax. The hotel is within easy reach of the coast. The tiny sandy bay at Petit Bôt is less than 1 mile away and the walk down is very pleasant, along leafy lanes in a wooded vale. Leisurely walks through the forest, with the abundant wild flowers and birds, are a must for nature lovers. Walking though the leafy lanes with a bird book spotting all the different species is only one of the pleasures available at your doorstep :)

Hotel 
The hotel offers 25 bedrooms and 2 AA 4 star self catering appartments. We aim to provide comfortable accommodation, well within the top end of the 2 star hotel spectrum. Room types range from standard to larger superior rooms overlooking the garden. Single and family rooms are also available.

Pool
The outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable temperature and has a decent size  Comfortable sun loungers are available for our sun trap terrace by the pool. The pool is heated from May to  the end of September.

Reviews
We have been at the helm of Le Chene for 8 years now and continue to re-invest in it. This year after reading our (mostly very positive) reviews on tripadvisor we have replaced  ALL matrasses with top end 1200 pocket sprung matrasses. Apart from this we have further upgraded our rooms and public areas.  Wifi is available in all public areas and most rooms (free of charge).

Award winning Restaurant
Our restaurant has been awarded a prestigious Silver Award by visit guernsey (2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 )We believe we offer excellent quality and value, with a 3 course daily changing menu priced at  £ 16.50 highlighting lots of local produce such as crab, brill, seabass and succulent steaks. Should you prefer to dine out however, we are always at hand for advise and help and there are plenty of quality eateries nearby. Quite often 100 % of our residents chose to dine in our restaurant which has got to say something.

Self Catering
The hotel has 2 self catering appartments. These appartments are rated AA 4 star and have one bedroom and a further pocket sprung sofabed in the living area. Other ameneties include flatscreen tv, dvd with free use of dvd library, free wifi and washing facilities. 

Languages
Our hotel has -next to our many UK visitors- a large number of continental visitors. For those continental visitors please note that we speak French, German and Dutch so please feel free to email you enquiry in your own language. (wir sprechen deutsch, ici on parle francais, Nederlandse eigenaren)

Your well being and enjoyment is of utmost importance to us and we strive to make your stay pleasurable in our adopted island home. Our  mystery AA hotel inspector's visit rated our cleanliness 4 star, bedrooms 3 star, bathrooms 3 star, service 3 star, food 3 star. Quote from report:
'a real strength with local fresh fish as a highlight' and in general a hotel which 'EXCEEDS expectation offering a comfortable standard of accommodation, which retains a relaxed welcoming environment'.

It is our aim to offer the best hotel accommodation within our rating on the beautiful island of Guernsey and to provide genuine value for money. Seeing the amount of repeat business we generate leads us to believe that we might be starting to achieve just that.
